NEP’s IP-enabled Andrews Hubs in Sydney and Melbourne are the world’s largest networked centralised remote production centers. Connecting 29 sporting venues via a new high bandwidth network, the Hubs enable multiple concurrent outside broadcasts. NEP’s Andrews Hubs are the most technically advanced facilities of their kind on this scale and an example of NEP’s investment in technology.
A cornerstone of these facilities, MediorNet is Riedel’s IP Video Network that allows for UHD production capabilities and enables IP video routing, multiviewing and IP gateway functionalities and many more. All this in a spectacularly small form factor.

MediorNet MuoN
The MuoN is a versatile SFP (Small Form Factor Pluggable) available as gateway and processing device ideally utilized in VirtU frames or COTS IP switches (MuoN A series). The software-defined hardware supports a range of different inputs and output configurations, including BNC, fiber, or HDMI (1.4 and 2.0). MuoN SFPs can be configured with a wide range of different apps: A simple change of the software license turns the device into an up/down/cross converter, JPEG-2000/XS encoder or decoder, an audio router, or even a 16x1 multiviewer.
MediorNet FusioN
The versatile design of the FusioN series of standalone IP converters addresses multiple scenarios of connectivity between SDI/HDMI and fiber optical to IP ST2110 formats. Furthermore, the products can also cope with compressed formats such as JPEG-2000 or JPEG-XS. Not only you can convert signals, but the FusioN frame can be turned into a 16 image IP ST2110 Multiviewer.
The solution comes in two miniature frames, each one with a flexible set of inputs and outputs and reprogrammable with different software functions. The compact and quiet FusioN series is perfect for interconnection of IP signals to SDI or HDMI display or for connecting SDI signals of remote cameras.
MedrioNet VirtU
The VirtU IP core infrastructure platform can host an extremely dense array of Riedel MuoN SFP processors in just 1RU. The frame can be used as a bulk gateway, as a very dense processing unit or for any combination of gateway and processing. This modular platform allows users to gradually build their key advanced gateway and processing power as their needs grow!
